Clever Retort

An English lady ,travelling in Irland, got into a smoking carriage,where an Irishman was smoking a pipe.For a short time she tried to make it quite clear that she objected to the smoke, by coughing,sneezing and open the windows.At last finding that the man took no notice and did not put out his pipe,she say : if you were a gentleman you`d stop smoking when a lady got into the carriage.If you were a lady replied the Irishman you wouldn`t get in here .
If you were my husband said the English lady , I`d give you poison.!
The Irishman looked at her for a moment ,Well he said at last if i were you husband I`d take it.
